Croatia was the first country that I traveled to outside the US. I’ve been there many times since and every time go I’m in awe at the immense beauty there.

I was 18 the first time I went to Croatia. It was the match that ignited the fire inside me to see the world. I had had the great fortune to explore most, 38 or so, of the states in the US growing up, so I thought at that point that I had seen enough that I couldn’t be surprised. I was wrong. Croatia in the summer is an absolute paradise.
